Walt Slusarski
Slusarski Excavating and Paving was started in 1982 when Walt, with his brothers Dale and Robert, forged the humble beginning with a beat up dumptruck and a salvaged backhoe from the junkyard. Struggling to make ends meet, Walt and his brothers persevered during those first trying years with small projects like digging basements, installing drainfields, or delivering small loads of gravel. Shortly after, they grew the business to include asphalt paving for residential driveways.
Fast forward 35 years, the Slusarski Company has grown to nearly 50 devoted employees and has expanded its' scope of services to accommodate the needs of their many customers-large and small. They now perform work for commercial and residential customers as well as a variety of municipalities and institutions. Asphalt paving, earthwork, underground utilities, materials delivery, construction management and other key services are among of the range of services provided to our customers.
Slusarski Materials, LLC was started in 2016, to help our customers with the removal and disposal of crushed/screened concrete, crushed/screened asphalt, and screened topsoil. The Slusarski Materials yard is located on M52 just south of Adrian.
Slusarski Materials was created to address the need for the recycling of disposed materials from sitework projects. Demolished concrete and asphalt that would otherwise be dumped at a landfill is now crushed and screened to make useful aggregate which significantly reduces the amount of waste generated from projects. Also, topsoil that is generated from construction projects is screened to remove any debris so it can be reused on other projects.
Slusarski Sealcoating and Striping (SSS) was set up in 2017 as a dba to Slusarski Excavating and Paving, Inc. due to customer demand for high-quality sealcoating and striping services in Lenawee.

Slusarski is the only contractor in the area to employ a registered professional engineer. This gives Slusarski true design-build capability and allows us to take your ideas from the concept stage through to the design and approval and into construction.
With a professional engineering designer on our team, we also are able to create detailed renderings and bid competitively on municipal contracts.
Instead of organizing, managing, and completing the entire project yourself, gain a higher level of control with our experienced construction management services. We’ll report to you as we oversee the overall construction of major sitework projects.
